Episode# 6: A Hunter We Will Go!

Episode# 6 is now live and available for download. Thanks to Kris and Heather for joining us as our special guests. This week, we feature Hunters in the first part of our class series. Enjoy!

SHOW NOTES:

THE BREAKING WIND

In our new NEWS FOR NOOBS segment, we discuss the ramifications of Blizzard’s recent decision to issue Cease and Desist orders to the makers of the following iPhone apps:

  • Armory Browser
  • Warcraft Arena Calculator
  • Warcraft Characters

Jesse also recounts his recent events regarding account hacking and the new Blizzard iPhone authenticator. A definite listen for anyone who is an active officer or Guild leader.

A HELPING HAND

In our tips and tricks segment, we feature the first in our class series. In this week’s episode, we focus on one of the more popular classes: Hunters! Special guests Kris and Heather join-in for a lively discussion of all-things Hunter related.

In our discussion, we cover:

  • Getting through those first 9 levels with your hunter
  • Hunter pets, the three pet talent trees (Ferocity, Cunning and Tenacity) and which ones we recommend for new hunters
  • Hunter talent specs, including an overall discussion of the differences between Beast Mastery, Marksmanship and Survival and which one we recommend for new players
  • Hunter spell rotations (i.e. which spells to cast in which order)
  • Recommended Hunter Glyphs

For the greatest rundown of in-game training pets, all hunters should check out this site: PETOPIA. This site gives a run-down of every in-game training pet, as well as providing recommendations and great hunter information.

THE RAZOR’S EDGE

This week, we take a slight detour with The Razor’s Edge. Since we were not all able to decide on an addon that we recommend for Hunters, Mick hands out two suggestions that are both both and informational! The first is a fun little addon that brings back memories for any old Warcraft 2 or 3 players called A Peon’s Burden. The second is a much more helpful addon that also applies to Hunter’s. OmniCC provides a much more effective way of showing the player the cooldown left on a specific spell. A definite must-have for every player!

LISTENER EMAIL

No new emails this week (although we got a ton after we recorded the episode). However, Mick gives a shoutout to the plethora of iTunes reviews we received in the past few days. Thanks to everyone who left us reviews!
