The Ministry of Truth Grows!

Well, there’s good news in the land of Azeroth / Winterhoof server. The Ministry of Truth, the official guild of “The Starting Zone” podcast is growing like a Treant. Ever since ye’ ole Podcasteroonie was posted online, we’ve almost doubled our membership. Folks, who are interested in a postitive WoW guild experience have been shuffling over to join the rank and file. We could not be happier. The best part of the whole process has been the great positive feedback we’ve received within the WoW community on the concept for the guild. Here are a few from the WoW Forums:

  • “Too bad I’m maxed out on alts on the server, otherwise I might roll a Horde to get a look at the other side. This seems like a great idea for a guild. Best of luck.”
  • “These seem like good players. Good guild good leader. Keep it up we need players like you.”

Now, at first glance you’d say, “Hey, that’s not that great. Those are just… kind of nice… comments.” However, if you’ve spent any time on the WoW forums you know it’s pretty much a wasteland of negativity and hate spamming. So, when anyone says anything nice it’s like a shiney diamond in a sea of Bog Lord droppings.

Regardless, we think we’re onto something with this guild and the expectations it sets for players. Hey, not everyone has six hours a day to run 25 Man Raids. Some players get a few hours a week, but still want the full WoW experience. We’re open to both play styles, and are happiest when a new player joins our ranks and every few weeks we see their posts at the guild site in our Ding Thread: Dinged 30, Dinged 60, Dinged 80, it’s really the best.
