We have talked about it in the past shows, but I thought a little re-cap here of World of Podcasts would be appropriate. If you want a GREAT re-cap of the event, then check out the recent write up at WoWInsider.com.
When we knew for sure we would be going to Blizzcon, one of the first things we did was reach out to Rho from Realm Maintenance to ask about the World of Podcasts Event. He connected us to Cerephus from The sunering and Azeroth Pirate Radio who was managing the event, and within a few months we were getting emails about topics, panels, etc.
To be honest, this was our first BLIZZCON, so we had no idea what was in store for us as a whole, let alone for World of Podcasts. We also learned an important lesson. Get to that ticket line early, or it will screw up your night.
So, we were fashionably late to the event. When we arrived at 9:30pm, the party was really winding down, but folks clearly had been having a great time. We hopped up for our Panel, Mick did the World of Warcraft General Panel, and Jesse (pictured above in the middle) sat on the World of Warcraft Raiding Panel.
This combined with the CTR and THE INSTANCE parties and live shows really proved how BIG the Podcast communities around Blizzard Products are. We were thankful to be a part of that club for an evening.
